1. TERMS OF USE

Bookios Terms of Use

This agreement is entered into between all users of the Bookios mobile application and ZOIHUB LLC (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”).

1. Description of Service

Bookios is a mobile application that allows users to share book quotes, listen to audiobook summaries, and read or listen to stories written by other users.

2. Membership and Usage Conditions

  • Anyone over the age of 13 may register to use the application.
  • The user agrees that all information provided is accurate.
  • User accounts are intended for personal use only and may not be used for commercial purposes.

3. Content Rules

  • Users may not share any content that is illegal, obscene, threatening, infringing on intellectual property rights, or violates the rights of third parties.
  • Such content will be removed immediately, and the user account may be suspended.

4. Intellectual Property

  • All designs, software code, and system infrastructure within the application belong to the Company.
  • Users must not upload any content that infringes on the intellectual property of others.

5. Account Suspension and Termination

If a user is found to be in violation of this agreement, the Company reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate the account.

2. PURCHASE AND PAYMENT POLICY

Bookios Paid Content Purchase Policy

1. Paid Content

The first three episodes of stories offered through Bookios are free. Subsequent episodes are available as paid content.

2. Purchase Conditions

  • Upon completion of the purchase, the user receives immediate access to the digital content.
  • By confirming the purchase, the user agrees to waive their right to a refund.

3. Refund Policy

  • As the content is digital, no refunds are offered after purchase.
  • This is in accordance with the relevant articles of the Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502.

4. Confirmation Box

At the time of purchase, the user must confirm the following statement:

“This is digital content. As the delivery occurs instantly, I acknowledge that I waive my right of withdrawal after purchase.”

3. PRIVACY POLICY

Bookios Privacy Policy

Bookios places a high priority on user privacy. This policy outlines how your personal data is collected, stored, and used.

1. Collected Data

  • Name, email address, location data, age range, device information
  • User interactions within the application (e.g., stories listened to, quotes added to favorites)

2. Purpose of Data Usage

  • To improve the service
  • To provide personalized suggestions
  • To fulfill legal obligations

3. Data Sharing

User data is never sold to third parties. However, it may be shared with technical service providers or in compliance with legal obligations.

4. User Rights

  • You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.

4. STORY CREATOR AGREEMENT

Bookios Agreement for Story Contributors

All users who upload stories to Bookios are deemed to have accepted the following terms:

1. Copyright

  • The uploaded content must be the original work of the contributor.
  • Bookios obtains a limited, non-transferable license to publish the content on the platform.

2. Responsibility

  • The contributor is responsible for ensuring the content does not belong to someone else and does not pose any legal issues.
  • In the event of copyright infringement, all legal responsibility lies with the contributor.

3. Revenue Model

  • Bookios may generate revenue from paid content.
  • If a revenue-sharing agreement is to be made with the contributor, it will be documented through a separate contract.

5. TOKEN SYSTEM AND DIGITAL ASSET USAGE POLICY

1. Definition of Token (Coin) System

Bookios implements a token (coin) system to facilitate access to in-app digital content, enable gift-giving between users, and enhance user experience. This system represents a virtual currency valid only within the application.

2. Coin Purchase Process

  • Users may purchase different coin packages via the integrated payment system in the Bookios app.
  • Purchased coins can only be used within the app and cannot be resold or exchanged for real currency.
  • Once the purchase is made, coins are instantly credited to the user’s account and are considered digital goods delivered.

3. Use of Coins

Users can spend their purchased coins on the following:

  • Listening to or reading paid story episodes
  • Accessing premium content
  • Buying digital goods such as badges, icons, or customization options
  • Sending gifts to other users

4. Refunds and Right of Withdrawal

  • Coin purchases are classified as digital goods and services; therefore, no refunds are granted after purchase.
  • Users must confirm the following statement at the time of purchase:

“The token (coin) offered in the Bookios application is a digital product. It will be instantly credited to my balance upon purchase. Therefore, I acknowledge that under Turkish Law No. 6502, I waive my right of withdrawal and accept that I cannot request a refund after purchase.”

5. User Responsibility

  • Users must confirm they have read and accepted the above terms prior to making any coin purchases.
  • Tokens may only be transferred within the app through the official gifting system. External sales or exchanges are strictly prohibited.

6. Company Authority

  • ZOIHUB LLC reserves the right to suspend user accounts or interfere with coin balances in the event of abuse, fraudulent transactions, or illegal activities.
  • The Company may change the token system, pricing, or usage rules at any time, provided that such updates are announced in advance.
